Data 

Data is the term,which is very simple to grab.data is defined as collection of meaningful fax,which can be stored and processed by the computer.In the other words data is the material on which computer programs work upon.The word raw indicates that the facts have not yet been processed to reveal their meaning.Data can be a number,letter of the alphabet,words,special symbols and etc.But this information is unorganized and it has no meaning.
For example the number 260979 is nothing but only sequence of digits and thus is meaningless since it could refer to a date of birth, phone number, sum of rupees and etc.once we know th esequence is then we can say that this information is organised into a meaningful manner then it will be known as information.Then we write it as 26-09-79 then we may mean it as date of birth.

555443,889090 can be used to represent the phone number,roll number etc.

Information

information is defined as the processed data that will help to make the further decisions.Information will be generated after the arranging the data into a suitable and meaningful form.data processing may be as simple as organising data to reveal patterns or as complex as making forecasts.such information can then we used as the foundation for decisions making.

  • A list of names and addresses.
  • The contents of a letter.
  • Time table of a particular organisation.
  • Printed documents.
