- MIDI is device dependent because the quality of playback depends upon the end user's MIDI device rather than the recording.
- MIDI data can be transmitted electronically between MIDI compatible musical instrument.
- Synthesizer: It is sound generator A good synthesizer often has a microprocessor, keyboard, control panel, memory etc.
- Sequencer:It can be stand alone unit or software program for a personal. It is used to be a storage server of MIDI data. Nowadays it is more a software music editor on the computer.
- Track:Track in sequencer is used to organize the recordings, tracks can be turned on or off on recording or playback.
- Channel:MIDI channels are used to separate information in MIDI system. There are16 MIDI channels in one cable.Channel numbers are coded into each MIDI message.
